Today, Genoa have announced that Gian Piero Gasperini has been sacked with immediate effect after comments about the board where released. Rookie manager Anupam Mitra has taken the reins.
Speaking to Sky Italia, Mitra said that he was pleased to have the chance to work at the club.
Genoa have completed the signing of two quality signings. Strikers Giorgios Samaras and Andrej Kramaric have arrived at the club.
Samaras has signged for a fee of £2.4m after being transfer listed and Kramaric for £1.7m.
Mitra: " Giorgios is a top quality striker and has proven that. He guarentees goals with his excellent record and is a a top signing. Andrej is 18 and has many great years ahead of him. I hope they do well."
